Dear Tandem friends,
Welcome to the Hanseatic city Wesel!
This year, we invite you to get to know the westernmost part of Germany from Wesel.
Wesel has been known as an important trading and shipping hub since the 15th century and looks back on a proud history as a Hanseatic city at the mouth of the River Lippe.
Nestled in the Lower Rhine landscape between the Ruhr area, the Dutch border and the western Münsterland region, Wesel and its varied surroundings invite you to take extended tandem tours between history, nature and (industrial) culture.
The Lower Rhine is a true paradise for tandem cyclists, as it has one of the largest and most beautiful cycle path networks in Europe. Over 2000 km of well-signposted and varied routes lead through the beautiful countryside.
We look forward to introducing you to the Lower Rhine and western Germany with tours along the Rhine, into the Ruhr region, as far as the Netherlands and the western Münsterland.
